Good progress! The elevators are going to come together any day now. Just so happens that day will be after Oshkosh…
Things were going swimmingly with 4 of us working at once. We set up a wonderful assembly line to back rivet the elevator rib halves. So wonderful that we managed to neglect the fact that the top/bottoms are swapped left/right.
So, the day ended with the humiliating drilling of 64 rivets. I think we’re pretty good at drilling out rivets, now.
