Wing ribs drilled, deburred… Flap assemblies riveted. Drilled 3/4″ hole for conduit in both wings, plus 2 x 3/8″ hole for pitot and AoA tubing in the left ribs. Many, many hours reading the internet trying to decide what to do here.
We’ve mostly decided on Garmin for avionics. We’re going to put a COM1 antenna on the belly, a COM2 antenna on top of the fuselage. NAV1 dipole on the belly. If we have a NAV2, probably a Bob Archer wingtip on the right wing. We’re going with 100% LED lights, so we shouldn’t need to worry about interference. Magnetometer in the left wingtip, backup magnetometer in the right wingtip, if we have one. (I’ve shot partial panel approaches with a whiskey compass, do we really need a backup magnetometer for the standby thing?)
